This has nothing to do with reading, but I love that my review releases on 4.14. As someone who resides relatively near Milwaukee, Wi, 414 is the area code in this location and it just makes me happy to have the 4.14 review slot! Yeah, I'm a dork.

DUNGEON CRAWLER CARL by Matt Dinniman

1. I’m going to start by saying this is quite different than anything I’ve ever read before and holy hell was it good! I read the audiobook version, and given that this is a LitRPG style book, I’d highly encourage you to dive into this format as well.

2. Imagine that your spouse has an incredibly annoying cat - it’s a show cat, and you know the time, effort, and money that has gone into that weird little furball. Although you pretend to not care about it at all, when it escapes, you, of course, need to go after it. In that exact moment the incredibly prissy ball of hair saves your life. The world suddenly implodes and you’re launched into a televised video game of sorts where you’ll be tested in all sorts of ways; needing to do unspeakable things to survive.

3. Think American Ninja Warrior meets Naked and Afraid, in role-playing game format. 😊

4. Honestly, so unique, so dark and fun and grossly hilarious, just…everything. I LOVED this book. If you want a fun, macabre, and comical read that will go by way too quickly, this is just the thing for you. And the voice-acting in the audiobook is top-notch!

I don’t say this often, but 5-Stars from me!
