When did you know you wanted to become an author?

As far back as I can remember, I’ve always had this weird fascination with stories and story- telling. Then one day I realized it was finally time to write that book and so one book turned into two and so on it went.

If you had three sentences to pitch your work to a new reader, what is your pitch?

Read this. You’ll like it. I swear.

What is your favorite thing about being in the Horror industry?

I enjoy connecting with authors that I grew up reading and admired. Being able to actually speak with them and get their advice on writing and the genre.

What’s the one thing that scares you the most in this world and have you ever written about it?

Having to admit that I’m afraid of anything. I have not yet written about it!

Tell us about a scene in one of your stories or someone else’s that you would not want to be stuck in and why? Name the book and author, if not you.

The process of creating is so involved for me that every time I write a scene, I literally become stuck in it to a point which it just takes over my world, even when I’m not writing. I’m still there until I can find a way to write myself out of it. I recall Highway Twenty in particular.

Darkest or most disturbing horror movie ever watched:

Sinister has always stood out to me.

Darkest or most disturbing horror novel ever read:

Flowers in the Attic by VC Andrews

Darkest/ Worst Way to Die:

Tickled to death.

If you had one hour to speak to any living author, who would it be and why?

The only one who won’t talk to me on social media – no disrespect to the King.

What has been one of the proudest moments of your writing journey?

Being shortlisted for the Bram Stoker in 2019 for my book Highway Twenty.

Who are you outside of being an author? What makes you tick other than the worlds and stories you create?

Devilishly handsome salesman and loving husband.

What is a piece of advice that you WISH someone had given you early in your career?

Don’t expect to get any writing done when your wife walks around the house in lingerie.
