Queen of Teeth by Hailey Piper is full of teeth, tentacles, and body horror. I'm obsessed.
Piper is the undisputed queen of weird-ass horror, and this time, she's bringing us an absolutely wild look at a woman who wakes up with teeth in her lady bits. Turns out, it's a bit of an odd side effect to being genetically altered by a corrupt biotech organization and because of the fact that they technically own her DNA, they've come to collect her so they can do whatever they want with her body as a result of the pearly whites in her vagina.
Yes, tentacles get involved, and it's one of my favorite transformative body horrors, but this is about so much more than gooey body bits and blood. Between the pulpy flesh warping itself into a sprawling, writhing mass, there's a really amazing story of bodily autonomy and even a bit of love.
No one has been able to match Piper in terms of imagination, fun, and disturbing execution. She's a must-read for any horror fans.
